Why Facebook ads?
Facebook Ads are one of the biggest marketing opportunities you'll come across. They can reach out to a larger audience than radio or television. They have sophisticated targeting like AdWords, albeit on different criteria.
Best of all, they are the cheapest CPM (Cost Per Impression) ad scheme, and average around $0.25 per 1,000 impressions. You can set up Facebook ads for as low as $1 per day, which when compared with advertisement costs on other digital media (TC etc.) is a really good bargain. Hence, Facebook ads are mega-awareness raising, have good targeting, require very little commitment, and are unbelievably affordable.
If you come to think about it, $1 per day means reaching out to 4,000 new people who haven't heard of your business before.
Targeting
You have various options for targeting ads to a specific audience. These include basic demographic factors such as age, gender, geographical location, language, etc. In addition, you can target with other advanced options as well such as College/ College major, Moreover you can target audience based on education and relationship status - options you won't find anywhere else. They're also great for promoting events. You can not only get people to join your event for sometimes as low as $0.15 each, you can also reach the friends of the people who've already said they're going.
Altogether, Facebook advertising is a powerful platform with a lot of options, and given its power, your company should have someone testing our Facebook ads for it, even if it's just at $1 per day!

Bro I want to ask another question,
ReplyDeleteI made a new blog about a month ago, and now a days about 300-400 visitors/day are only coming from Facebook.
Is it helpful for my page rank or it is harmful for blog reputation?
Waiting for your answer! :)
Usman Dear, Facebook is just another source of traffic for your blog. It does not matter how big or small this traffic is, but the more the better. A lot of businesses rely solely on traffic from Facebook.
DeleteHowever, that does not mean that you should put all your eggs in the same basket. It is better to have search engine traffic, because those users tend to convert better. So while there's no problem in getting 3-400 visitors per day from Facebook, it is cause for concern if you're getting, say, less than 50 visits per day from search engines. If that's the case, then you should probably spend more time on SEO
Hope this helps :)
Thankssss Alot for giving answer in detail!
DeleteMay Allah gives you lot of Prosperity!

ReplyDeleteGreat post Qasim: this tip has clear my confusin regarding cost factor. Just one question. Which one is good on Facebook advertising. Blog promotion or blog post promotion. It is generally said that going for the latter post means you promote your post and those who like it may also like FB page of your blog. Is it right?
ReplyDeleteWell, there's no hard and fast rule regarding this. But generally speaking, promoting posts will give you better results (in most cases, but perhaps not in all), because ideally, you should mostly get your traffic from an organic source. In this sense, organic would mean people who are looking for a certain content.
DeleteFor e.g., if I am looking to find a solution to a driver problem in windows 8.1, then I will check out an article that someone has shared on Facebook regarding the solution. If they had shared the blog instead of the blog post, I wouldn't have been too interested.
However, like I said, it goes for most cases, but not all. Suppose I want to buy a new laptop. In this case, I'd go for a blog or website link, rather than a post link, because I want to check out various models, and not just look at a single review. Get it? It depends on your business.
Generally, I'd advice you to promote both, but give posts more attention, as promoting a blog only might amount to spamming, and promoting posts only would somewhat restrict your reach
Hope this helps
